Making A Difference With One Warm Coat

This November, Engel & Völkers North Georgia Mountains proudly partners once again with the One Warm Coat foundation to help ensure that our community has the warmth it needs to thrive. One Warm Coat is a national nonprofit dedicated to providing free coats to children and adults in need, while promoting volunteerism and environmental sustainability. Since its founding over three decades ago, One Warm Coat has collected and distributed more than 8 million coats and other winter essentials across all 50 states, thanks to the support of individuals, businesses, and community groups. Their impact goes beyond providing physical warmth: they promote sustainable giving by reducing textile waste and offering a second life to gently used outerwear.

This year, Engel & Völkers North Georgia Mountains is excited to hold its annual coat drive from November 11th to November 15th. We invite you to join us in making a difference by donating new or gently worn coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and other winter accessories at one of our shop in Blue Ridge. Each item donated not only brings comfort to someone in need but also helps reduce landfill waste, as One Warm Coat has a focus on extending the life of textiles that might otherwise be discarded.

Throughout the drive, we will accept all sizes and styles of clean, gently used coats and other essentials. Your donation will directly impact those who need it most as the colder months approach. With nearly 1 in 10 Americans living at or below the poverty line, the demand for winter essentials like coats, hats, and gloves has never been greater, and we believe that, together, we can meet this need.
